Summary:
Treatment of elderly patients with metabolic syndrome and arterial hypertension is an important medical and social problem and does not always lead to the achievement of the planned results. One way to solve this is to use a new three-component fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril, and rosuvastatin. The aim of this work is to study the effect of a fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril, and rosuvastatin on blood pressure, lipid profile, and safety in elderly patients with metabolic syndrome and hypertension. Material and methods: in 2016-2018, 125 patients with metabolic syndrome and arterial hypertension aged 60-74 were treated at the polyclinic No. 2 in Kursk. The drug was prescribed in capsules of 5/10/10 mg once a day in the evening. Patients were examined before and after 6 months of treatment. For daily monitoring of blood pressure, the "SpaceLabsMedical" device was used for 26-27 hours. The lipid content was studied using the KoneLab 300 analyzer, the activity of liver enzymes, and the urea level using a spectrophotometric method. The reliability of the differences was evaluated using the U-Mann-Whitney criterion. Results of the study: for the First time, treatment with a fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril and rosuvastatin in elderly patients with metabolic syndrome and hypertension indicates that the target blood pressure level was reached in 81.6% of patients, and that the average daily, day-and night-time systolic and diastolic blood pressure was significantly reduced. The drug eliminates hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. Adverse reactions were registered in 8.0% of cases during follow-up. A fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril, and rosuvastatin does not affect the activity of alanine and aspartate aminotransferase, or urea levels. Conclusion: the use of a fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril and rosuvastatin in patients with metabolic syndrome and elderly hypertension is characterized by high efficiency in controlling blood pressure reduction, normalization of lipid metabolism, and safety.
Keywords metabolic syndrome, hypertension, elderly patients, fixed combination of amlodipine, lisinopril and rosuvastatin.
