Summary:
Actuality. The development of premature aging syndrome is typical for 70 % of the population of our country. The first link that the patient refers to for signs of an unfavorable aging profile is an aesthetic medicine specialist. In this regard, these specialists have a high demand for studying the basics of both anti-aging medicine and gerontology in general. Purpose. to study the level of gerontological education among the medical staff of aesthetic medicine clinics. Material and methods. To determine the level of competence of nurses working in the "aesthetic medicine" profile and cosmetologists of aesthetic medicine clinics, we conducted a questionnaire consisting of 31 questions using a 2-point rating scale for various problems of preventive gerontology. We interviewed 164 specialists from aesthetic medicine clinics. The groups were distributed as follows: group 1-nurses working in the "aesthetic medicine" profile, sample size-86 people; group 2-cosmetologists of aesthetic medicine clinics, sample size-78 people. Results. According to the assessment of the level of professional training of specialists of aesthetic medicine clinics in the field of preventive gerontology (anti-aging medicine), we found that nurses working in the "aesthetic medicine" profile had an average score of 35.6±2.1 points, and cosmetologists of aesthetic medicine clinics had an average score of 36.1±2.2 points, which thoroughly proves the need for more educational programs in the field of preventive gerontology (aging medicine) to increase the level of knowledge and competence among specialists of clinics of aesthetic medicine (critical level of scores for absence of necessary educational professional programs in preventive gerontology (aging medicine) of 16.0 points). Conclusions. When assessing the need for professional educational programs in the field of preventive gerontology for specialists of aesthetic medicine clinics, we identified a high need for additional educational programs both among nurses working in the "aesthetic medicine" profile, and among cosmetologists of aesthetic medicine clinics.
