Summary:
Introduction. The integration of telemedicine technologies into the obstetric service of Russia is relevant, since the low population density of most of its territories increases the risks of maternal and perinatal mortality in emergency situations. An additional incentive for the introduction of telemedicine into obstetrics in our time was the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a weakening of obstetric control over the condition of pregnant women.
The aim.I In order to minimize these risks, a pilot project has been developed and implemented in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, in which telemedicine, based in the regional Perinatal Center, performs the following functions: collecting information about high-risk pregnant women; organizing remote medical care for pregnant women; managing medical care for pregnant women.
Materials and methods. To organize the information network space around the Perinatal Center, a flexible telecommunications infrastructure is being formed, adapted both for scheduled telemedicine consultations for the purpose of selecting and routing high-risk pregnant women, and for emergency telecommunications in urgent cases.
Results. The article presents the most important aspects of the application of telemedicine technologies in obstetric practice of the regional Perinatal Center and shows the results of a pilot project for the introduction of telemedicine in obstetrics in the Perinatal Center of Noyabrsk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
Conclusions. The analysis of statistical data demonstrates the high clinical effectiveness of the integration of telemedicine technologies into the obstetric service even in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
