Summary:
Introduction: the actual problem of satisfaction of patients receiving palliative care is analyzed, which is the main goal of health care programs providing for continuous improvement of the quality of medical palliative care Materials and methods: the study conducted a survey of palliative care recipients to assess the importance of a particular element of palliative care, which is necessary both to improve the structure of care provided in solving the tasks of organizing medical care, and to create questionnaires on satisfaction with this type of medical care (200 respondents). The questionnaire for the survey was developed with the participation of the main freelance specialists in the provision of medical palliative care of the Ministry of Health of Russia and representatives of the public organization All-Russian People's Front. Results and discussion: the study revealed the most important criteria for evaluating the provision of palliative care by consumers of this care, since when improving the quality and accessibility of medical palliative care, it is necessary to focus on the priority needs of the population who need or may need this assistance. The study also revealed that material and organizational issues are important in the provision of palliative care and are reduced to the organization of a pleasant and safe atmosphere in the medical institution in which the patient is located. Ensuring the quality of medical care imposes certain requirements on the quality of training of medical personnel for palliative care, not only from the side of medical knowledge obtained in the process of education, but also serious psychological training and the formation of communication skills in the learning process.
Keywords palliative care, satisfaction, sociological survey, equipment, timeliness.
