Relevance. At present, the leaders of healthcare institutions in our country solve many problems from the rational use of resources to the widespread introduction of organizational changes at all levels of medical care. This situation destabilizes the usual working order. Managers need a management concept that will increase the efficiency of the institutions in general and each of the areas of work in particular. Goal. The article is devoted to the analysis of management models that contribute to the sustainable development of medical organizations. Materials and methods. The study used data from a sociological and expert survey of managers (2012-2018), used the author's methodology to assess the potential for sustainable development of medical organizations that implement the ISO 9001 quality management system, the concepts of lean manufacturing, strategic development, and sustainable development of the ISO 9004 standard. materials of normative - legal analysis, comparative modeling, general logical methods and techniques. Results. An analysis of management concepts showed that the potential for sustainable development is extremely low (0.079) if a medical organization operates solely on the basis of regulatory requirements, but sociological research data showed that the average indicator of sustainable development of institutions in our country is 2.19 times higher than the normative value and is - 0.17. The situation improves significantly with the introduction of the concept of strategic development (0.39), the concept of lean production (0.57) and the quality management system (0.53). However, the most effective is the work of a healthcare institution that implements the concept of sustainable development of the ISO 9004 standard through a combination of best management practices (0.88) Findings. Thus, the difference between indicators in management concepts is a set of management approaches that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development. They are different for each concept. But thanks to the assessment of the potential for sustainable development, the manager can evaluate the maximum effect obtained even before it is introduced into the work of a medical organization.
