Introduction. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 diabetes mellitus) is one of the most common chronic diseases among older people and leads to the development of macro and microvascular complications. The problem of elderly patients with diabetes is a higher risk of developing many geriatric syndromes, as well as hypoglycemic conditions. These factors contribute to a decrease in the quality of life of patients. Objective: to study the quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes and the effect of hypoglycemic therapy on it. Materials and methods. The study included 2 groups of elderly women. Group 1 – 40 patients with type 2 diabetes who are on traditional hypoglycemic therapy (table No. 9, gliclazide MV, metformin, physical activity), group 2 - 40 patients with type 2 diabetes who receive the treatment method developed by us: table No. 9, gliclazide MV, metformin, Sublette, cholecalciferol in drops (saturating dose for a month, then supporting), physical activity. The control group included 40 women without carbohydrate metabolism disorders. Patients' complaints, anamnesis, anthropometric parameters, and quality of life were studied using the SF-36 questionnaire. Results.
