Relevance. Manifestations of medical ageism negatively affect the quality of care for patients of older age groups and maintain stressful situations at a consistently high level that reduce the level of psychophysiological health of nurses. Due to the variability of subject-object interactions in a medical organization, the reduction of ageist manifestations seems to be quite difficult. This article is devoted to the issue of prevention of medical ageism, namely, the study of manifestations of intra-family ageism as a factor that allows recommending an applicant who wants to become a nurse to choose a different specialty. The purpose of the work. Formation of a scientifically based anti-ageist component of the technology of professional selection of applicants for training in the specialty 34.02.01 "Nursing". Materials and methods. 82 graduates of the Medical College of the National Research University "BelSU" took part in the survey, of which, based on the fact of permanent residence with close relatives of older age groups (BRSVG), two groups were formed. The first group included respondents permanently residing with the BRSVG, the second - living separately. Results. Cohabitation of BRSVG with future nurses is a significant factor that reduces the resistance of neglect to the state of health of BRSVG as a component of intra-family ageism, which is confirmed by the following facts. 11.5% of the respondents of the second group do not have knowledge about the state of BRSVG health. 9.3% of respondents of the first and 47.0% of the second groups have no knowledge about the frequency of visits to BRSVG medical institutions. Only 20.0% and 33.3% of respondents of the first group provide assistance when visiting medical institutions and in the process of solving household problems. All average values of the intensity of perceptions of negative statements of the Kogan scale given by respondents of the second group exceed or equal to those in the first group. At the same time, the difference in the intensity of perceptions of statements № 1, 7, 11, 15, 31, it is characterized by statistical reliability. Respondents, assessing the perception of BRSVG, used 94.3% of adjectives revealing their positive features. Assessing the perception of BSVG, the proportion of adjectives revealing positive features decreased to 73.2% with a corresponding increase in the proportion of adjectives revealing negative features. Conclusion. Cohabitation of future nurses with BRSVG should be considered as a passive career-oriented anti-ageist component of the technology of professional selection of negative impact, which has not been identified at the moment.
