Summary:
Introduction: The frailty syndrome is characterized by a decrease in strength, endurance, a decrease in functional reserve and an increase in the individual's vulnerability to stress factors, leading to an increase in the individual's dependence on medical and social assistance, the development of stroke, repeated MI, repeated hospitalizations and / or death. Purpose of the study: to evaluate the relationship between frailty syndrome and adverse clinical events in patients up to 12 months after acute coronary syndrome. Materials and methods: Examination of 302 patients with ACS (166 men (55%) and 136 women (45%)). The inclusion criterion for the study was a confirmed diagnosis of ST-ACS, NSTE-ACS, and unstable angina. Senile asthenia syndrome in persons with ACS was assessed by two rating scales: according to the criteria of the Green and Fried scales. Correlation analysis was carried out using a point-bisserial coefficient to stratify the risk of developing adverse outcomes. Results: When stratifying the risk of stroke in patients of older age groups within 1 year after ACS, significant correlations were obtained: with the MMSE scale (r=-0.131 at p=0.022), the IADL scale (r=-0.270 at psenile patients after ACS.
Keywords acute coronary syndrome, frailty syndrome, myocardial infarction, stroke, death, repeated hospitalization
