RESULTS OF A SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEY ON THE ORGANIZATION OF PSYCHIATRIC CARE FOR CHILDREN IN THE CITY OF KIROV: POLLING TECHNOLOGY OF A SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF PATIENTS, MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILIES, TEACHERS AND MEDICAL WORKERS

Summary:
Introduction. According to the WHO, 10% of the world's population suffers from mental disorders. Throughout the world, there is a serious concern on the steady trend of deterioration in the health of the youth. The aspects of organizing psychiatric care for the child populace imply the creation of a system of care using technologies aimed at destigmatization at all stages: outpatient, semi-inpatient and inpatient. Objective: to evaluate the organization of medical care in children's psychiatric day hospitals of Kirov State Clinical Budgetary Institute of Health "CPMH". Materials and methods. The object of the study was the system of organisation for providing psychiatric care to children on the basis of a day hospital. A total of 366 citizens were surveyed, taking into consideration a sample of incorrectly filled questionnaires. The unit of observation is the respondents (teachers, medical workers, legal representatives of patients). In the project, the following methods were applied: content analysis of scientific literature and legal documentation, statistical method, analytical method. Results. The number of people who took part in the survey were: 80 medical workers, 94 teachers, 192 parents (legal representatives of the patient). The social portrait of respondent is represented by a woman aged 30-40, with a working social status. All three categories of respondents gave an answer about “respect for the child’s rights” to the question “Have there ever been a violation of your child’s rights because of the mental and behavioral disorders?”, there were certain answers indicating child right violations. This result indicates the need for a deeper study of the issue, conducting psycho-educational work to reduce the level of stigmatization. The result of assessing the attitude of society towards children with mental and behavioral disorders, according to the respondents, there are indications for the need for active explanatory work aimed at overcoming the protective mental mechanisms of denial and repression. A number of questions related to adherence to treatment. The opinions of medical workers, parents and teachers agreed on 100% regarding the implementation of recommendations for the use of drug therapy: 99% (n=362) of the respondents gave the result - "Yes", 1% (n=4) of the respondents - "No". This result indicates a high adherence to therapy, interest in treatment, indirectly indicating the effectiveness of ongoing therapeutic measures. Also, a positive point is the fact that the availability of psychiatric care for children has improved after the opening of children's day hospitals based on educational institutions, according to the majority of respondents. Conclusions. Based on the results from the study, conclusions can be drawn, that there is a need for an integrated approach to the problem of improving the quality of medical care in psychiatric institutions, taking into consideration the identified claims of its consumers.
