Summary:
Background. A decline in perinatal and infant mortality is possible by complete elimination of potentially preventable cases, including a decrease in the burden of modifiable risk factors. Consequently, socio-demographic and behavioral characteristics of the pregnant woman and their partners should be taken into account while predicting adverse outcomes. Quality and completeness of information on these characteristics is one of the key components of possible perinatal risk management systems at both regional and national levels. Aim: to assess of the prevalence of modifiable risk factors of adverse pregnancy outcomes using data routinely collected by the Arkhangelsk Regional Automated Information System for Maternity Care Monitoring in 2018-2021 and evaluation of data completeness for its further use in prediction models. Results. Routinely collected e-health data on most of adverse pregnancy outcomes’ determinants (mother's age, education, marital status, bad habits) are sufficiently complete for epidemiologic studies. At the same time, a relatively high proportion of missing data was found for partners’ characteristics. Based on the data from complete protocols, it was found that 95.5% of pregnant women was in the age group of 18-39 years, 56.7% of women had secondary vocational education or were university students, and 62.2% were married; 13% of women smoked at the time of the first antenatal visit. Significant differences were found in the proportional distribution of age groups (p
