Summary:
Introduction. Being one of the most important measures of adaptation to professional activity, professional development and retention of young specialists in the profession, the topic of mentoring is of particular importance for the healthcare system. The article is devoted to the analysis of measures to stimulate the mentoring activities of medical workers. The authors analyzed the amount of payments for mentoring medical workers, taking into account the sources of their financing, and also assessed the structure of recipients of these payments. Purposes of the study. Researching the existing stimulus measures in the mentoring activities as part of the Russian healthcare and working out the ways of their improvement. Materials and methods. Materials and methods Analysis of the regulatory framework of Russian legislation in the sphere of organizing a mentoring system; scientific literature on mentoring in the healthcare sector. A study of statistical data on the supplemental wages of medical workers for mentoring in the regions of Russia. Results and discussions. The authors obtained a data on average payments to doctors and nurses for mentoring. The main recipients of these payments were identified. Recommendations on measures to stimulate mentoring were offered. Conclusion. Mentoring has always been one of the most effective tools in developing the labor potential of medical personnel, in which an experienced mentor plays the most important role. Legislating at the federal level the amount of incentive payments for mentoring and defining criteria for their payment can be an effective tool in increasing the motivation of doctors engaged in mentoring.
