MANIFESTATIONS OF CERVICAL CANCER INCIDENCE IN THE OMSK REGION FEMALE POPULATION

Summary:
Introduction: Cervical cancer (CC) is an urgent public health problem associated with a high incidence, prevalence and mortality in the female population. Globally, in 2020, there were 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths from it. Purpose: to assess the manifestations of the incidence of cervical cancer and its outcomes in the female population of the Omsk region Material and Methods: An observational descriptive-evaluative study for the period from 2012 to 2021. held in the Omsk region. The material was the data of the forms of federal statistical observation No. 7 "Information on malignant neoplasms", the data of official statistical information collections, according to which an assessment was made of changes in the intensity of incidence and mortality of the female population with cervical cancer, and an analysis was made of the effectiveness of preventive measures in terms of early detection, lethality, index of accumulation of contingents of patients. Results: In the Omsk region during the study period, the primary incidence increased from 17.6 to 18.6 cases per 100,000 female population. The average long-term incidence rate of cervical cancer in Omsk is 10.4% lower than the average for the region (18.6 cases per 100 thousand female population, and in rural areas of the region it is higher than the regional average by 15.4%. In half of the municipal districts (16 out of 32) the average long-term rates of primary morbidity were in the range from 18.8 to 27.0 cases per 100 thousand of the female population. The mortality of the female population from cervical cancer in 2020 increased by 11.8% with an average long-term rate of 8.3 cases per 100 thousand of the female population. The average long-term mortality rate in rural areas was higher than the regional average by 17.4%.The mortality rate was 16.5% and was 13.5% higher than in the Russian Federation (14.6%). decreased from 17.4% in 2012 to 13.2% in 2021 with a long-term average of 16.5%. reduction of cases of the disease detected in stage III from 35.3% to 28.8%. Conclusions: To achieve the targets of the Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy, new approaches are needed to implement effective prevention strategies at the regional level.
