Introduction. Quantitative assessment of the main areas of human life with the help of questionnaires makes it possible to more qualitatively determine the dynamics of the patient's condition during therapy. Objective. The purpose of the study was to assess quality of life (QoL) an functional impairment (FI) changes, and determine the levels of anxiety and depression among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who received a long-term tocilizumab (TCZ) therapy. Materials and methods. The study included 37 patients with active RA (32 women and 5 men), median age was 56 [48;68] years, median disease duration - 92 [49;158] months; DAS 28 - 6.2 [5.5; 6.7]. 51% of patients with RA received TCZ monotherapy, 49% - combination therapy of TCZ with methotrexate (MT). The observation period was 260.4 [251.5; 283.4] weeks. Patients’ QoL was measured using the SF-36 PH, SF-36 MH, EQ-5D, HAQ, RAPID 3, HADS T, HADS D, FACIT questionnaires at the start of a study (point 0), after 6 months (point 1), after 12 months (point 2) and 5 years (point 3) of TCZ therapy. Results. At the study's start, most patients showed a significant decrease in QoL and FI. According to SF-36 PH, SF-36 MH, EQ-5D, RAPID3 questionnaires there were significant improvements in QoL and FI against the background of TCZ therapy and a decrease in RA activity after 6 months, and according to the HAQ and FACIT questionnaires - after 12 months, and positive dynamics was observed until the end of the study.
