SELF-ASSESSMENT OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH PAIN SYNDROME IN VARIOUS PARTS OF THE SPINE

Summary:
Introduction. Dorsopathy is the most common syndrome among diseases of the musculoskeletal system both worldwide and in the Russian Federation. The variety of forms of dorsopathies and their wide prevalence among the population determine the great importance of this pathology for the health care system, since dorsopathies are one of the main causes of temporary disability of the population. Dorsopathies significantly reduce the quality of life and working capacity of the population, thereby having a significant economic effect, while remaining the leading cause of visits to a doctor after acute respiratory diseases. Aim. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of pain syndrome in various parts of the spine on the patient's ability to self-care, movement, headache, sleep disorders and other disorders of human life. Materials and methods. The study used the Oswestry questionnaire, a widely used scale for self-assessment of the degree of disability caused by spinal pathology. Within the framework of this study, 328 people participated in a questionnaire using motor activity assessment scales. The average age of patients was 41.3±1.2 years. The examination was carried out by a random one-time retrospective sample before the start of osteopathic treatment. Results. The respondents' assessment of the intensity of pain in various parts of the spine revealed that moderate pain (in 37.5% of cases) was significantly more often experienced by patients in the lumbar spine compared to the thoracic and cervical spine (P
