Summary:
Introduction. Prolonged inactivity associated with an exacerbation of a chronic disease, with the immobilization of a limb in case of injury or in connection with joint surgery leads to the development of secondary changes: muscle atrophy, contractures, osteoporosis and other changes in the tissues of the musculoskeletal system, which significantly complicate the restoration of motor function. Only by using systematic physical activity in the early stages of the recovery period can all these complications be avoided. Purpose. To identify the effect of exercise therapy as part of a complex application with Flex - F01 simulators on the restoration of hip and knee joint movement in elderly people during rehabilitation. Materials and methods. On the basis of the multidisciplinary medical center Beauty Life LLC. During the period June 2022 – June 2023, 32 gerontological patients received care on the basis of our department. (80+). Of these, 15 are women and 6 are men with post-traumatic treatment. All 100% of the respondents had previously performed joint MRI and bioimpedance analysis of body composition. The Flex - F01 apparatus was used for active and passive joint development. The course of treatment consisted of 15 sessions. The diagnosis of joint mobility was carried out using a special instrument (ganiometer). To diagnose active movement, a test was used (walking for a duration in minutes). For visual assessment, it was used (examination by a doctor) for the presence of edema, redness and deformity of the joint. All patients underwent complex therapy using the Flex - F01 simulator and physical therapy of specialized exercises. Results and discussion. Patients received complex therapy using a simulator and in parallel exercises from a specialized complex were offered. Analyzing the work, it should be noted that at the beginning of treatment, many exercises were very difficult for patients, but the painstaking work of the instructor and complex treatment with the Flex - F01 simulator allowed to increase the amplitude of movements, relieve pain syndromes and perform exercises technically correctly and with the specified dosage in a short time. And only a small number of patients had a slight swelling in the joint, but without pain syndrome, they were offered a second course of rehabilitation a month after the last procedure, which will allow them to fully rehabilitate. Conclusions. Using the device "ORMED FLEX-F01" according to the described method in combination with physical therapy allows: 1. Quickly restore movement in the joints. 2. Reduce pain and normalize functions in the joints of the lower limb. 3. Increase motor activity in the affected joints.
