Summary:
Introduction. There are significant differences in opinions about the emergence and spread of tuberculosis infection in the spatial properties characteristic of the habitat in the scientific literature. The influence of social infrastructure facilities located within local urbanized territories on the dynamics of the formation and spread of tuberculosis infection remains unexplored. Aim. To identify factors influencing the process of formation of foci of tuberculosis and the spread of tuberculosis infection in the territory of the metropolis. Methods. Field studies of municipal formations on the territory of two districts of St. Petersburg were carried out. Information about the demographic situation was provided by the administrations of the municipal districts. The lines of delimitation of microterritories within the boundaries of administrative territories designated as territories of infectious tuberculosis risk (TITR) were determined. Geoinformation technologies were used to monitor tuberculosis «hotspots» Results. A comparative analysis of indicators in micro-territories established significant differences between "Clear" TITR and TITR with the presence of foci of tuberculosis in terms of the following parameters: the density of the adult and child population living in the territory, the density of houses and apartments in houses, the density of shops, educational and medical institutions, zones recreation. At the same time, the differences in TITR with the presence of foci of tuberculosis with the presence (MDR-TB) or the absence (DS-TB) of drug resistance of the pathogen among themselves according to these parameters were statistically insignificant. Significant differences in the density of public transport stops were found between “Clear” and MDR-TB (p=0.004), while there were no differences between “Clear” and DS-TB (p=0.02), and when comparing DS-TB and MDR-TB (p=0.6). Differences in LTBI density between "Clear" TITR and DS-TB were statistically significant (p
