Introduction. Due to the trend towards the aging of the population, the burden on first-aid doctors is increasing, which necessitates the revision of the entire personnel system of medical care and medical care. One of the ways to solve the problem of the shortage of general practitioners, internists is the redistribution of their functions among other medical professionals. Individual tasks that were solved by doctors can be transferred to the average medical staff who are in the position of a doctor's assistant, without adding possible risks and reducing the quality of primary health care to the population. However, any innovation in the personnel policy of healthcare should be based on the results of constant monitoring of the problems and difficulties associated with the implementation of new professional functions and tasks by specialists. The aim of the work was to identify the attitude of medical workers studying under the training programs of a doctor's assistant and working in this position in medical organizations of the city of Moscow to a new type of medical activity and labor functions. Materials and methods. The study involved 285 medical workers with experience as a doctor's assistant from two weeks to nine months. A questionnaire has been developed that reveals the degree of job satisfaction, the specifics and nature of the attitude to the position of a doctor's assistant, an assessment of the possibilities of performing appropriate work functions and solving professional tasks. The method of A.V. Batarshev "Integral assessment of job satisfaction" was used, modified in accordance with the objectives of the study. Statistical research methods included a traditional package of descriptive statistics. Results and discussion. It was revealed that, in general, the doctor's assistants are satisfied with the conditions created for the organization of training and work. The majority of respondents positively assess their work experience in the position, many like this job. However, as a result of the study, the difficulties faced by the doctor's assistants were also identified. This is the intensity of professional activity, the specifics of communication in the "doctor's assistant — patient" system. It became expedient and necessary to develop special programs of additional education for medical assistants aimed at forming their communicative and psychological competence. Conclusion. The monitoring results made it possible to formulate recommendations for improving the system of introducing the position of assistant doctor in medical organizations.
