Introduction. The activities of medical organizations are subject to control, since they are directly related to the values protected by the state – the life and health of citizens. At the same time, an important element is the quality control of medical care, the provision of which makes it possible to develop a quality management system for medical care in healthcare. Control in the field of health protection is carried out in the forms formulated in the Federal Law "On the Basics of protecting the health of Citizens in the Russian Federation", while the most important form is quality control and safety of medical activities. Purpose: to study the regulatory framework and analyze the practice of internal quality control and safety of medical activities using the example of cosmetology clinics belonging to the private healthcare system. Materials and methods. The main base of the study was the cosmetology Clinic of beauty and health "New Life LLC", located in Samara. In the course of the study, taking into account the analysis of the experience of the cosmetology Clinic of beauty and Health, a review of regulatory documents and scientific literature on topical issues of the organization of internal quality control and safety of medical activities in the conditions of cosmetology clinics belonging to the private healthcare system was conducted. The methods of content analysis and the analytical method were used. Results and discussion. In clinics of the private healthcare system that are not part of the compulsory medical insurance (CHI) system, and cosmetology services are not included in the programs of state guarantees for the provision of free medical care, the goals of internal quality control and safety of medical activities are narrowed, since they do not cover such processes as the organization of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment, medical examinations, medical examination, follow-up, medical examinations and medical examinations. Taking into account the analysis of the current regulatory and legal documentation, measures for internal quality control of medical care are highlighted, as well as basic and additional organizational measures to ensure internal quality control and safety of medical activities in relation to medical organizations of the private healthcare system using the example of the cosmetology profile. Conclusion. To date, Russia has established a system for internal control of the quality and safety of medical activities, which is a working tool, including for clinics of the private healthcare system, where there is no large administrative apparatus and, most often, all control functions are assigned to one authorized person. This specialist should have a list of all internal control and safety processes of medical activities and appropriate assessment criteria formulated as mandatory in regulatory legal acts and taking into account the profile of the medical organization. The approach to the implementation of internal quality control and safety of medical activities as a set of specific algorithms makes the process manageable, transparent and effective.
