COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMICS OF THE INCIDENCE OF ALCOHOLISM IN THE POPULATION OF THE RUSSIAN REGIONS FOR 2006-2021

Summary:
Relevance. The high level of alcohol consumption is one of the significant problems not only of public health, but also of the state as a whole. Purpose of the study. Analysis of the dynamics of the primary incidence of alcoholism and alcoholic psychoses in the population of the Russian Federation for 2006-2021. Material and methods. The design of the study is retrospective analytical descriptive. The analysis of morbidity was carried out on the basis of data presented in the statistical collections of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsNIIOIZ" of the Ministry of Health of Russia «Socially significant diseases of the population of Russia» and in the unified interdepartmental information and statistical system for 2006-2021. Research results. In the Russian Federation and all regions from 2006 to 2021, there has been a decrease in the level of primary incidence of alcoholism and alcoholic psychosis, the regions with the highest rate of decline in incidence include Leningrad (-89.4), Murmansk (-81.2), Magadan (-87. 3), Sakhalin (-80.1), Astrakhan (-94.5), Kaluga (-80.4), Kursk (-80.2), Tver (-83.4), Kemerovo (-80.0) , Tomsk (-82.2) regions, Republic of Ingushetia (-93.1) and Chechen Republic (-89.2), Republic of Adygea (-86.3), Republic of Altai (-85.9), Krasnodar Territory (- 91.2), St. Petersburg (-86.3), Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (-86.2), the regions with the lowest rate of decline in incidence include the Republic of Tyva (-13.5) and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug ( -44.4). In 2021, the level of primary incidence of alcoholism and alcoholic psychoses in all regions of the North Caucasian Federal District and Southern Federal District was lower compared to the national values, in all regions of the Far Eastern Federal District it was higher, with the exception of the Republic of Buryatia, and the incidence of alcoholism and alcoholic psychoses was higher than the Russian average in 12 of 18 regions of the Central Federal District, 7 of 11 regions of the Northwestern Federal District, 11 of 14 regions of the Volga Federal District, 4 of 6 regions of the Urals Federal District, 5 of 10 regions of the Siberian Federal District. Conclusions. Despite the successful anti-alcohol policy, in some regions more systematic measures are required to reduce the incidence of alcoholism and alcoholic psychosis, with a preliminary analysis of the factors causing the identified patterns.
