Summary:
Introduction. In modern realities, the share of Internet consumption is growing at a tremendous pace. Social networks and the Internet, if not replaced, then significantly supplemented functions of a doctor, a psychologist, a fitness trainer, a tutor, and so on. In order to introduce rational nutrition, prevent non-communicable and age-related diseases, and increase the individual and age-related vitality of the population, social networks can be effectively used, since they allow reaching an audience of millions of people in a short period of time. Goal. To study the degree of information activity of the population in obtaining knowledge about healthy nutrition and longevity from social networks, as well as the feasibility of promoting this information through social networks. Materials and methods. With the help of a questionnaire developed by us, 308 respondents were interviewed on the territory of the Republic of Adygeya. They were patients of three age groups: up to 44 years – 37 people (average age 36.4+5.8 years); 45-64 years – 30 people (average age 54.2+5.4 years); over 65 years – 30 people (average age 71.2+7.9 years) who underwent outpatient and inpatient treatment in the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Adygeya Interdistrict Hospital named after K.M.Batmen", the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Adygeya Republican Clinical Hospital", the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Maikop City Clinical Hospital " (97 people in total); doctors working in the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Adygeya Interdistrict Hospital named after K.M.Batmen", the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Adygeya Republican Clinical Hospital", the State Medical Institution of the Republic of Armenia "Maikop City Clinical Hospital" (39 people, average age 41.1+13.9); students of the Maikop State Technological University (171 people, average age 20.8+2.6 years). Results. Based on the data obtained, it can be seen that the share of social network users among doctors and students is quite high (82.1%, 97.7%). Whereas among patients, only 68.4%. An important factor in this regard is the trust in social networks. Among doctors and students, 5.1% and 5.3% have full confidence, respectively, the proportion of patients who trust information from their gadgets is 14.3%, while there are more women (26.5%) than men (22.2%). As for getting information about nutrition and aging processes, 38.5% of doctors, 63.7% of students and 58.2% of patients receive the information from social networks. If we talk about the prospects of social networks in terms of promoting health information, only 12.8% of doctors believe that this is the future, 18.4% of patients have the same opinion, while 34.5% of students agree with this statement. Thus, the data obtained demonstrate that the younger generation is more inclined to use modern sources of information, 62.3% of students prefer the Internet and social networks. Conclusions. Thus, based on the results of the analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn. Women are the most active users of social networks, and quite a large part of them receive information about nutrition and longevity from there. Despite the negative dynamics of the use of modern sources of information with age, a significant proportion of elderly and senile people may be consumers of information about nutrition and longevity from social networks. In this study, we proved the expediency of promoting information about healthy nutrition and healthy longevity through modern sources of information - social networks.
