Summary:
Actuality: Clinical medicine needs to find new ways to reduce the progression of degenerative changes, regeneration of existing damage and protection from oxidative stress, inflammation and destruction. One of the promising directions for solving these problems is the use of peptide complexes. An increase in the levels of local and systemic biomarkers that are released when using peptides and have protection indicates that their use is important from the point of view of the preservation and restoration of the functions of the visual organs at any stage of life and in any diseases. Purpose: to study the possibilities of peptide complexes in ophthalmological protection. Materials and methods: a total of 76 people were included in the study. The study of patients was conducted before the use of peptide complexes and after 3 months. We created 2 groups: the control group (n=37 people) was monitored by an ophthalmologist – 2 times a week and underwent prevention and treatment required by the standards of ophthalmological practice - eye exercises, the use of moisturizers (dexpanthenol, hyaluronic acid), vision correction with glasses; the main group (n=39 people) was under the supervision of an ophthalmologist (carried out all standard measures for prophylaxis and treatment) + the use of peptide complexes. The use of peptide preparations was applied according to a certain scheme. Peptide Zeaxanthin peptide IPH AVN (4 Vision), then we used the complex Lutein peptide IPH AVN (4 Vision), and further therapy with the use of Makui peptide IPH AVN was continued. German peptides IPH AVN have all the approvals and permits for the markets of the world, such as: WADA certificate (anti-doping), MAFFA certificate (safety), ORGANIC certificate, HALAL certificate, patent protection: patent in the United States of America No. 5,405,266, patent in the European Union No. 016704471, patent in the Russian Federation No. 645608, patent in the People's Republic of China No. 30507522. We evaluated visual functions, the level of inflammation and antioxidant protection, and the quality of life. Results: the use of peptide complexes leads to a successful increase in the corneal layer, which is due to the presence of a patented zeaxanthin formula in the composition of peptide complexes, which prevents the negative effects of free radicals, thereby protecting the lens and retina from damage. Together, this increases high-contrast vision, protects the retina from the harmful effects of UV rays, protects the retina from photochemical damage, corrects the blind spot zone. The degree of restoration of visual function and reduction of dry eye syndrome in patients is associated with the use of a patented peptide complex that improves the production of its own tears, mucins and lipids, the effect on the rate of evaporation of the tear film, the formation of a tear film on the surface of the corneal epithelium. Conclusions: the use of peptide complexes leads to a decrease in inflamaging, an increase in the antioxidant response, which, together, improves the quality of life in terms of improving visual acuity, color perception, and reducing dry eyes.
Keywords peptide complexes, ophthalmic protection, inflamaging, antioxidant protection.
