Summary:
Introduction. Information technologies are becoming particularly relevant in improving the provision of medical care to achieve the national goal of increasing the life expectancy of the population to 78 years by 2024. Digital transformation of healthcare against the background of pronounced aging of the population and the increasing need of elderly and senile people for medical care will ensure effective continuity of care, which is especially important when providing medical care to patients with acute vascular diseases. Objective: analysis of the need for inpatient care of the population older than working age and assessment of the functionality of the regional medical information system in the provision of medical care to patients with diseases of the circulatory system in the Udmurt Republic.. Materials and methods. The study used data from statistical collections of the Federal State Statistics Service and the territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Udmurt Republic for 2010-2019, federal statistical observation forms № 14, № 30 for the Udmurt Republic for 2010-2019. Evaluation of the functionality of the information system was carried out on the basis of the computer program "Regional medical information system of healthcare of the Udmurt Republic" implemented in the activities of state medical organizations of the Udmurt Republic. Results. The study showed that with a decrease in the volume of medical care in a hospital, the number of hospitalizations of elderly and senile people increases. To ensure continuity of medical care, correct assessment of the severity of the condition of patients with acute vascular complications, a model of information interaction of participants is proposed, on the basis of which the regional medical information system was finalized. As a result, the profile routing of the patient, the timeliness of the provision of specialized and high-tech care positively affected the indicators characterizing the health status of the population. Discussion. The continuing high demand of the population of older age groups for inpatient treatment of cardiovascular diseases, the frequency of deaths determine the priority of monitoring this category of patients and require close attention at all stages of medical care. The introduction of digital solutions in the activities of medical organizations is becoming the basis for improving the efficiency of medical care for patients of older age groups, characterized by a high level of comorbidity. Conclusion. The introduction of digital technologies adapted to regional needs plays a leading role in the continuity of medical care at all stages of its provision, the control of patient routing, the quality of treatment and the effectiveness of dispensary observation of patients older than working age.
