The purpose of the research question was to assess the possibility of introducing and using project management methods to create a patient-oriented healthcare model in the context of time and resource constraints in the implementation of the regional program "Fight against cardiovascular diseases". The materials and methods of the study were the analysis of the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, the regional practice of the subjects, publications of domestic and foreign researchers, data from analytical agencies, the federal state statistics service of the Russian Federation. The subjects of the study were the medical organizations of the region, which implement the regional program "Fight against cardiovascular diseases", the object was their direct activity aimed at drug provision of patients with the same diseases. Results. Currently, each medical organization is implementing several projects simultaneously, embodying the strategic tasks assigned to it, but still does not use the principles of project management, which neutralizes the planned economic effect due to the inefficient use of federal and regional budget funds. The foregoing requires a revision of the current practice using project management methods in healthcare, which will make it possible to obtain a synergistic effect, in the conditions of established restrictions in the implementation of program-targeted planning, including the implementation of national projects "Health". The use of technologies and project management methods in a medical organization is a universal tool for realizing these goals.
