APPLICATION OF MEDICAL CARE PROCEDURES AS A RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR A MULTIDISCIPLINARY HOSPITAL

Summary:
Introduction. The article is devoted to assessing the possibility of using medical care procedures as a tool for managing the resources of a multidisciplinary hospital to ensure the availability and quality of medical care to the population. According to literary sources, the main problem of applying the Procedures is the difficulties in material and technical support of medical organizations. Among the reasons complicating the use of procedures are the contradictions of the regulatory legal framework in terms of labour relations and the staff standards recommended by the procedures for providing medical care.
The purpose of this publication. To study the expert opinion of the heads of multidisciplinary hospitals of various organizational and legal forms, levels of medical care and capacity on the contribution of procedures to management decision-making.
Materials and methods. In the sociological research took part 88 heads of multidisciplinary hospitals of various organizational and legal forms, levels of medical care and capacity. The collection of information was provided by self-filling questionnaires submitted to respondents in Google Forms. The analysis of the received information was carried out by calculating and comparing extensive indicators.
Results. The study showed that the number of procedures used in a medical organization depends on the number of provided medical care profiles, but not on the capacity of the bed fund. An expert survey showed that, despite of the number of beds, more than 70% of hospitals use in their activities more than 20 procedures. The most often used by all medical organizations, which heads took part in the survey, are highlighted. It was found that 96% of the experts use the recommended staffing standards while forming the staffing table. More than 96% of respondents believe that the equipment of hospitals meets the standards of equipment.
Conclusions. The results of the expert survey confirm the necessity of the developing the technology of managerial decision-making based on the application of medical care procedures for the heads of multidisciplinary medical organizations.
