ASSESSMENT OF DIGITAL COMPETENCIES OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS AT A MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Summary:
Introduction. With the development of digital technologies, changes are taking place in all spheres of life, including education. Teachers of medical universities with digital competencies can use various information technologies and tools in their work, which makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of training and ensure high quality of education. The development of the digital economy also requires constant updating of the knowledge and skills of medical university teachers in the field of digital technologies so that they can meet the requirements of the labor market and prepare students to work with new technologies.
The purpose of this publication. To analyze the level of digital competencies of students of medical universities and teachers of departments of public health and healthcare of departments of universities of different departmental subordination.
Materials and methods. In the study, questionnaire methods were used, an electronic questionnaire was developed, including 14 questions. The survey was attended by 84 students of the 4th and 5th courses of the medical and dental faculties of the Moscow State Medical University named after A.I. Evdokimov of the Ministry of Health of Russia and 75 teachers of the departments of health organization and public health of universities of different departmental subordination.
Results. According to the survey, it was revealed that the majority of teachers have competencies in working with data, interacting through digital technologies and creating digital content at the level of knowledge and skills, the majority of students - at the level of skill and proficiency. Teachers highly appreciated their level of digital competencies in the copyright and licensing sections. The main problems in the studied groups are related to competencies - security and problem solving in digital environments. It should be noted that the subjective assessment of the level of digital competencies among the younger generation is low.
Conclusions. The development of digital competencies of medical university teachers is a necessary condition for improving the quality of medical education and training young professionals who meet market requirements and are able to apply the achievements of the digital economy in healthcare and medical education.
