Summary:
Introduction. The most important medical and social problem at the state level is the formation of a healthy attitude of society towards older people. It has been established that ageism has a negative impact on the health of citizens: in addition to psychological pressure, it has been found that age discrimination contributes to the development of chronic diseases, the formation of a predisposition to cognitive impairment (dementia, depression), increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases and obesity. In society and the healthcare system, there is a need to search for and implement new effective tools in the field of gerontology and geriatrics, taking into account new clinical and biological data on human aging processes in conjunction with the social component. The aim is to assess the impact of anti–aging attitudes in improving the quality of life of age-related patients within the framework of the educational model of end-to-end gerontological education (CSE). Materials and methods. To assess subjective age discrimination in order to determine the clinical effectiveness of the implemented CDF model, an anonymous prospective randomized one-year study was conducted among elderly and senile patients (N=524). The assessment of the level of ageism was carried out by means of a questionnaire among practitioners and teachers of medical universities involved in the implementation of the CDF model (N=990) using the questionnaire "Assessment of the level of ageism in the system of end-to-end gerontological education". The degree of subjective perception of age discrimination was established using the E. Palmore scale. The quality of life indicators of age-related patients before and after the study were evaluated using the SF-36 questionnaire Results and discussion. During the study of the level of ageism among participants studying under the CDF model, the average level of this indicator was revealed: doctors had a primary level of ageism of 58.2±3.2 points, teachers had 30.3±4.1 points on a 100-point scale. After the educational events, the ageism index decreased in the group of doctors to 30.8 ± 2.2 points, in teachers – to 20.2± 1.3 points. A positive aspect was a statistically significant decrease in the dynamics of indicators of subjectively experienced age discrimination during the implementation of the CDF model. On average, the integral index on the E. Palmore scale decreased from 69.3±3.1 to 50.1±2.7 points (p
