Summary:
Introduction. About 2% of the world’s population, regardless of the political and economic situation of the country, are sick with alcoholism and go to drug clinics for treatment. The scale of the spread makes it possible to equate the abuse of alcohol to a pandemic Covid 19, social, medical and biological emergency.
The purpose of the study:There was an analysis Incidence of alcoholism in the Russian Federation.
Materials and methods. The data of the federal statistical reporting (Ministry of Health of Russia) were used, Росстат) за 2003-2022, Comparative analysis is applied, statistical and analytical methods.
Results and discussion. There was a decrease in the number of patients, for the first time in his life with a diagnosis of 76,2% for 20 years, на 51,7% for 10 years of observation; the number of patients decreased, registered in medical and preventive organizations for 20 years of observation - by 52,5%, 10 years of observation — 39,9%, and number of patients, under the supervision of a psychiatrist-narcologist in connection with the harmful (with harmful consequences) use of alcohol (by 66,5%). Over the observation period (2000-2022) 14,1±11,3 thousands people (11,8±7,9 people per 100 000 population) died annually from alcohol poisoning; over the past 5 years (2018-2022), this figure is more positive and is 9,8±1,9000 people and 6,7±1,3 people per 100 000 population. The dynamics of indicators indicates a decrease in the number of deaths from alcohol poisoning for 2000-2022 — in 4,4 times (77,2%,), за период 2018-2022 – в 1,3 times (22,7%). Analysis of the coefficients of mortality of the population in working age by sex led to the conclusion, that the ratio of men to women remained virtually unchanged over all years of observation among individuals, deaths from alcohol poisoning, It was about 5:1.
Conclusion. Results obtained evidence of positive trends, established in the country. Nevertheless, the data presented in the study are so large and significant, damages (demographic, medical and social, financial and economic, moral and ethical) from alcoholism is high, that require the development of additional regulatory, legal and institutional measures, aimed at improving medical care for persons, people who drink alcohol.
