CONTENT ANALYSIS OF THE MARKET OF COSMETIC PRODUCTS OF SERUMS FOR THE SKIN AND EYES

Introduction. With the advent of modern requirements for cosmetic products and increasingly interested consumers, the cosmetics market has become one of the most dynamically developing industries. In modern society, human appearance plays a crucial role, which leads to a growing need for effective skin care products and, in particular, for the skin around the eyes. Serums for the skin around the eyes are innovative products enriched with active ingredients that are specifically designed to combat various problems associated with this vulnerable area of the face. Currently, pharmacies have a wide range of parapharmaceutical products, a large percentage of which are cosmetics. Of particular interest is the creation of new cosmetics with improved characteristics. In order to understand in which direction to develop, it is necessary to understand what is happening in the market of cosmetic products. Goal. In this regard, the purpose of our work was to conduct a content analysis of the market of cosmetic products in the field of serums for the skin around the eyes to clarify the compositions and further develop the formulation of our own product that meets all the requirements and preferences of consumers. Materials and methods. The materials and methods for the study were data from the Unified Register of Certificates of State Registration (nsi.eaeunion.org "portal/1995) on January 22, 2024. Results. To date, there are 37 cosmetic serums for the eye area on the market of parapharmaceutical products, of which 10 (28%) are anti-aging, 9 (25%) are moisturizing, 6 (17%) with a lifting effect, 3 (8%) are serums containing bio-gold particles, restoring - 2 (5%), anti-stress serums against signs of fatigue - 2 (5%), collagen serums - 2 (5%), vitamin serums - 2 (5%) and with a cooling effect -1 (3%). Currently, eye serums are manufactured in 11 countries. Israel is the leader in the production of cosmetic serums, Russia is in second place, and France is in third. Discussions. We analyzed the compositions of 4 serums for the skin around the eyes of different manufacturers and identified the main trends in the selection of components. Active ingredients are important ingredients of cosmetic serums. They have a targeted effect on the skin: moisturizing, lymphatic drainage, nourishing, anti-aging, toning, etc. The most popular active components of cosmetic serums are plant extracts, antioxidants and vegetable oils. The excipients are responsible for the structural stability of the product, its stability and uniformity of consistency. These include solvents, preservatives, emulsifiers, thickeners, fragrances, film-forming agents, pH regulators. Conclusions. As a result of the work, a composition of components that should be present in a modern serum for the skin around the eyes was developed.
