Rates of mental disorders and diseases of the nervous system have shown a steady increase over the years of observation and research. The share of disabled children with diseases of the ear and mastoid process is about 5% in the overall structure of causes of disability in children in Russia and the Novosibirsk region. The steady growth is negative, but it is also associated with effective support measures and the active work of ENT and audiological services in the Novosibirsk region. There remains a need for increased awareness of parents in medical organizations of the region, about the possibility of seeking otolaryngological and audiological help.
