Summary:
Introduction (relevance). At the current stage of healthcare development, when the quality and safety of medical care are a priority, fall risk assessment is an important element in the prevention and treatment of injuries associated with falls. This task requires qualified medical professionals who will be able to correctly assess the risk and take appropriate measures to prevent an undesirable event. The concept of qualification is considered by us as the readiness of an employee to perform a certain type of labor activity. A study was conducted to assess the readiness of medical workers for the initial assessment of the risk of falling patients. The results of assessing the readiness of 120 specialists with secondary medical education to identify the risk of falling on the Morse scale were analyzed. Target. To analyze the results of assessing the readiness of medical workers to identify the risk of falls in patients. Materials and methods. Systemic multifactorial analysis, observation of medical practice, statistical, analytical and mathematical methods. Results. As a result of the study, data were obtained on the readiness of medical workers to identify the risk of falls. The overall average assessment of the studied contingent was 80%. However, in the context of a personalized assessment using the methodology of systemic multivariate analysis, 43% of the specialists participating in the study had negative values of the integral indicator. The influence coefficients (weight coefficients) calculated in the course of mathematical analysis made it possible to identify the most significant factors that negatively affect the state of the system (the readiness of a specialist to identify the risk of falling on the Morse scale was taken as the system). The analysis of the data also showed that the specialists who answered correctly (from 86% to 70%) the questions had a negative value of the integral indicator, on the basis of which it was subsequently concluded that the state of the system was assessed as "pathological", there was a risk of an undesirable events. In general, the data obtained allow us to conclude that it is necessary to strengthen the training and increase the professional competence of medical workers in the field of identifying the risk of falls. Conclusions. The readiness of healthcare professionals to identify risks of falling on the Morse scale is an important factor in preventing this complication. Further development of professional knowledge and skills in this area should be one of the priorities in the work of medical institutions.
