Summary:
Introduction. Functional diagnostics is an integral part of the main areas of clinical medicine. At the current level of development of medicine, functional diagnostic methods are used by both specialized medical specialists (functional diagnostic doctors) and other specialists who widely use these methods in their work. The more important it becomes to record and analyze the work of functional diagnostic units. Purpose of the study: to study the features of the current state of functional (and ultrasound) diagnostic units in the Russian Federation and their performance indicators. Materials and methods. Data from federal statistical reporting (Ministry of Health of Russia, Rosstat, form No. 30) for 2014-2022 were used. in the Russian Federation, normative legal, statistical and analytical methods were applied. Results and discussion. More than 4.5 thousand medical organizations have departments of functional and ultrasound diagnostics, and their number has been declining. More than 10 thousand functional diagnostic doctors and 16 thousand ultrasound diagnostic doctors work in the industry; there is a shortage of these specialists (46.3% and 41.9%, respectively). More than 113.9 million patients are examined annually using functional diagnostic methods; there is an increase in the number of surveys by 39.3%, the maximum number was registered in 2021 against the backdrop of the Covid 19 pandemic. About 200 million surveys are performed annually, there is an increase in the number of surveys by 108.1%, the maximum number was registered in 2020 (287, 3 million units) and 2021 (373.7 million units) against the background of the Covid 19 pandemic. A significant and superior part of the research was made up of studies of the cardiovascular system (67.1%), in second place - studies of the external respiratory system (26.9%). For 2014-2022 significant changes in the structure of research were noted: since 2020, against the background of the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection Covid 19, there was a decrease in the share of studies of the cardiovascular system by 44.3% and an increase in the number and share (by 47.8%) of examinations of the external respiratory system. Conclusions. Today, functional diagnostic methods are widely introduced into clinical practice: they are used not only by functional diagnostic doctors, but also by various specialists who use these methods in their work, and offices are often located directly in the clinical departments of hospitals in close proximity to specialized specialists and patients. The pandemic of the new coronavirus infection Covid 19 has increased the importance and demand for this diagnosis.
