Summary:
Significance. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented strain on health systems worldwide [1,2,3]. In the context of restrictive measures in response to the pandemic, preventive care was suspended in the public health system in 2020, presenting an additional challenge. The reduction of preventive work has led to the accumulation of negative factors from diseases not detected in time. [1]
People who have contracted COVID-19 face complications for months or even years after infection. In-depth screening is an important tool to assess health status, diagnose post-CoVID-19 syndrome, and detect the risk of complications early.
The purpose of the study. to study the satisfaction of the adult population with the organization of advanced medical examination in the conditions of the city polyclinic.
Materials and methods. The study conducted in the city polyclinic of Zheleznodorozhny District in 2024 included a sociological survey among 100 patients.
In the course of the work, statistical and analytical methods of research were applied, which allowed obtaining objective and accurate results. The study is aimed at identifying problems and shortcomings in the dispensary system, as well as at developing recommendations to eliminate them and improve the quality of services.
Results. The study showed that the bulk of people undergoing in-depth medical examination are women aged 30 to 59 years old. Respondents in most cases (70% and 73% respectively) visit the polyclinic once or twice to undergo the first and second stages of medical examination.
At the first stage of medical examination, 30% of respondents were diagnosed with chronic diseases. Of these, two thirds were referred to the second stage of the dispensary. The results of both stages showed that more than 70% and 90% of respondents, respectively, positively assessed the accessibility and quality of the process of dispensification of the adult population.
Conclusions. To improve the process of organizing dispensary examinations, it is necessary to take a number of measures, one of which is the introduction of lean technologies in the work of the polyclinic. To optimize the process and make it more efficient will allow the separation of patient flows and their routing. To increase medical activity and awareness of the population, it is important not only to maintain but also to increase the share of active invitations by employees of the polyclinic to the dispensary. Improvement of the process of conducting medical examinations, including in-depth examinations, will allow the attached population to take preventive measures in a timely manner, preventing the development of chronic non-communicable diseases.
In general, improving the process of organizing medical examinations requires a comprehensive approach that includes organizational and information aspects. This will not only improve the quality of medical services, but also reduce the risk of chronic diseases among the population.
Keywords satisfaction of citizens, prevention, in-depth medical examination.
