Summary:
Introduction (relevance). The problem of analyzing the range of hypoglycemic drugs for the treatment of DM2 is relevant due to the rapid growth of this pathology among the population of the Russian Federation. The uneven supply of medicines in different regions of the country limits the fulfillment of the requirements of clinical recommendations. In addition, insufficient information of medical personnel and patients about new medicines leads to low effectiveness of the therapy. The need to monitor the range of hypoglycemic drugs and their prices is necessary to increase the availability of treatment for patients with diabetes mellitus. Аim: to identify the current state of the proposed range of hypoglycemic drugs in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in comparison with the Russian Federation and to analyze the main groups of drugs, their degree of saturation in the pharmaceutical market. Materials and methods. The methods of content, marketing and structural analysis were used. The generalization and interpretation of the obtained data was carried out on the basis of statistical methods. Data from the State Register of Medicines and indicators of the assortment plan of wholesale and retail pharmacy organizations in the studied region were also used as an information base. Results. The conducted content analysis showed that 29 international nonproprietary names of hypoglycemic drugs were registered in the Russian Federation, under 143 trade names, and in Kabardino-Balkaria - 15 international nonproprietary names under 103 trade names. It was found out that out of 8 pharmacotherapeutic groups of drugs, only 5 are present in the region, which is 62.5% of the total assortment. It was found that all registered medicines are present in the federal clinical recommendations, whereas only 62% were included in the regulatory lists for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The provision of traditional drugs is mainly within the framework of import substitution, and innovative drugs of mainly imported production are presented in limited quantities Discussions. The results obtained indicate that the assortment policy of commercial organizations is largely determined by a number of factors: the therapeutic features of the drugs themselves; the availability of generic drugs; pricing principles; manufacturers' policies; pharmacoeconomical aspects; regional features, consisting in the preferences of doctors, the availability of drugs and the financial capabilities of patients. Conclusions (conclusion). There is a coincidence in most of the assortment positions of hypoglycemic drugs on the Russian and regional pharmaceutical markets. However, access to innovative drugs within the studied region is limited, which narrows the possibilities of an individual approach to treatment and reducing the severe consequences of the disease itself. One of the possible reasons may be the low information awareness of doctors and patients about innovative drugs.
