Summary:
Introduction. Circulatory system diseases (CSD) occupy leading positions in the causes of mortality. They are responsible for at least half of deaths in the Russian Federation. The impact of the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection on the incidence of BSC is presented in the results limited by time (only 2020-2021) or space (analysis of the incidence at the level of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation or a separate population group). The dynamics of morbidity in the following years after the completion of the pandemic and general stabilization of the situation has not been investigated. Materials and methods. A narrative epidemiological study was carried out. We studied the total morbidity of the adult population, morbidity of the adult population diagnosed for the first time in life, according to ICD-10 class I00-I99 Diseases of the circulatory system and ICD-10 group I20-I25 Ischaemic heart disease. The indicators were studied for the period 2015-2022 comparatively at the level of the Russian Federation (RF), the Central Federal District (CFD), and Moscow. The calculation of indicators of the dynamic series of morbidity per 100 thousand adults was carried out. Results. In the period 2015-2022, the total morbidity of the adult population in ICD-10 class I00-I99 Diseases of the circulatory system increased most intensively in the Russian Federation and the Central Federal District, while in Moscow there is no principal dynamics of this indicator. The morbidity of the adult population according to ICD-10 class I00-I99 Diseases of the circulatory system diagnosed for the first time in a lifetime increased in the Russian Federation, at the same time, there is a positive dynamic of decrease in the CFD and Moscow. A characteristic process was revealed: a decline in all types of morbidity of BSC in 2020, its jump-like growth in 2021 and 2022 with reaching and further exceeding the baseline level of 2015 (in particular, for the total morbidity of the adult population in ICD-10 group I20-I25 Ischemic heart disease). Conclusions. The identified trend proves the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on preventive health care not only at the immediate height of the pandemic, but also in the following years. This requires the creation of sustainability approaches and new methods for implementing preventive health care.
