DYNAMICS OF PSORIASIS MORBIDITY IN THE POPULATION OF THE KABARDINO-BALKAR REPUBLIC

Summary:
Relevance. Psoriasis in Russia occurs in about 1.5-2% of the adult population, which is comparable to global rates in the world. The average age of patients is usually 43.6 years, and the average duration of the disease is about 10 years. Approximately 67% of patients have manifestations of psoriasis on visible parts of the body, which greatly affects the quality of life and their ability to work. It is also known that the prevalence of psoriasis varies by region and climate. All this still leaves the study of various aspects of this pathology relevant.
Purpose of the study. To study the dynamics of psoriasis morbidity in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic for 2014-2023 to assess the main trends and make management decisions.
Materials and Methods. The study materials were the data of the federal statistical observation form No. 12 “Information on the number of diseases registered in patients living in the service area of a medical organization” for medical organizations of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic from 2014 to 2023. Analytical and statistical methods were used in the research process.
Results and Discussion. In the Kabardino-Balkar Republic psoriasis occupies 7.4% of the total number of diseases of the class of diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. In the course of the study it was revealed that in the republic as a whole the total incidence of psoriasis decreased by 0.8% over ten years, while in six districts of the republic the incidence of psoriasis increased. The incidence of psoriasis diagnosed for the first time in life decreased for 10 years by 44.7%. The same tendency of general and primary incidence of psoriasis and positive tendency of coverage of psoriasis patients with dispensary observation are also noted.
Conclusions. Multidirectional dynamics of psoriasis morbidity in different regions of the Republic require close study as an urgent medical and social problem.
