MORBIDITY, PRIMARY DISABILITY AND MORTALITY OF THE POPULATION OF THE SARATOV REGION FROM MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS

Summary:
Introduction. Malignant neoplasms are included in the list of socially significant pathologies that have a significant impact on public health by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The tendency towards an increase in the incidence of malignant neoplasms both in the regions and in the Russian Federation remains. The standardized mortality rate of the population of the Russian Federation from the above pathology exceeds the similar rate in the EEC countries by 1.5 times. Objective. Comparative analysis of cancer incidence, disability and mortality of patients living in the Saratov region. Materials and methods. Data from the Federal State Statistics Service for ten years (2013-2022) were used. Results. In the Saratov region, over the period 2013-2022, both the primary incidence of malignant neoplasms and the overall incidence increase [puntries to counter the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection as a priority area of the healthcare system during this period, as well as the lack of a mechanism for complying with the planned level of early diagnosis of malignant neoplasms. Conclusion. A comparative analysis of the primary incidence of malignant neoplasms over a 10-year period among the population of Russia and the Saratov region revealed a steady increase in this indicator. An assessment of the mortality rate due to malignant neoplasms over a 10-year period among the population of the Russian Federation and the Saratov region revealed a decrease in the indicator for the Russian Federation and an increase for the Saratov region in 2022 compared to 2013. It is necessary to clarify the reasons for the increase in incidence rates, high mortality rates and disability from malignant neoplasms in the region.
