ANALYSIS OF STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS IN THE SYSTEM OF ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OF MEDICAL SPECIALISTS

Summary:
The relevance of the study is due to a number of factors, namely, the rapid development of medical science and technology requires continuous updating of knowledge and skills among medical professionals, the integration of digital technologies into the educational process and the introduction of new teaching forms and methods remain priority areas of health development. Training of specialists who are able not only to adapt to modern realities, but also to contribute to the development of medical science and practice. These circumstances are pushing for drastic changes in the system of training medical specialists.
The purpose of the study: to identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the system of training medical specialists in the framework of additional professional education on the example of a military educational organization.
Materials and methods of research: this article discusses the system of training medical specialists in the framework of additional professional education. The study was conducted using the method of strategic planning - SWOT analysis of qualitative and quantitative.
Results: qualitative analysis has revealed that Strengths and Opportunities outweigh Weaknesses and threats. Ranking and evaluation of factors in quantitative analysis showed that in an educational organization the advantages are 3.9 points, and the final assessment of disadvantages is 3.4 points, opportunities are 4.2 points, threats are 3.5 points.
Discussions: in our opinion, an educational organization can make the most effective use of its strengths and opportunities to improve the quality of education and attract new students, integrate advanced educational technologies into the training of medical specialists within the framework of additional professional education.
Conclusions: as a result, the research revealed strengths and weaknesses, as well as advantages and threats in a military educational organization. In our case, advantages and opportunities have superiority over disadvantages and threats. This situation makes it possible to develop a strategy for the development of an educational organization in the system of additional professional education.
