Introduction. The regulatory and legal regulation of the sphere of circulation of medicines for veterinary is undergoing active processes of updating and harmonization. This study provides a generalized view of the current phased regulation of veterinary pharmacy in Russia at the end of 2024. The study of current legislative regulation makes it possible to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing mechanisms for regulating the market of medicinal products for veterinary use, and subsequently identify weaknesses and problems in the industry, the elimination of which will contribute to the active development of veterinary pharmacy, and in the global vision - to improve the quality of veterinary care in Russia, improve the performance of the agricultural sector of the economy, increase the import rates of domestic products, improving public health and improving the environment. Aim. To provide up-to-date information on the regulatory and legal regulation of the stages of the sphere of circulation of medicines for veterinary use. Materials and methods. The research uses: content analysis of literary sources and Internet resources, the method of computer technology, analytical and graphical methods. Results and discussion. Currently, active processes of updating and harmonization of regulatory and legal regulation of the sphere of circulation of medicines for veterinary use are taking place in Russia. The main directions of these processes include: 1. Improvement of legislation. In recent years, new laws have been adopted and changes have been made to existing laws aimed at improving the effectiveness and safety of the circulation of medicines. For example, amendments were made to the Federal Law "On the Circulation of Medicines" aimed at simplifying the procedures for registration and quality control of medicines. 2. Harmonization with international standards. Russia is striving to harmonize its legislation with international standards in the field of drug circulation. This allows Russian manufacturers to gain access to international markets and attract foreign investment in the Russian pharmaceutical industry. 3. Strengthening state control. In recent years, state control over the circulation of medicines has increased. This is due to the need to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medicines. Strengthening state control includes increasing the requirements for manufacturers and distributors of medicines for veterinary use and tougher liability for violations of legislation in the field of drug treatment. 4. Development of certification and monitoring systems. A system of certification of medicines is being developed in Russia, which allows ensuring their quality and safety, as well as a system for monitoring the circulation of medicines for veterinary drugs, which allows tracking their movement from the manufacturer to the end user. Conclusion. As a result of the study, an up-to-date step-by-step regulatory regulation of the sphere of circulation of medicines for veterinary use is presented, which is a complex and dynamically developing system.
