The outcome of the disease, as well as the overall level of satisfaction of patients (their relatives) with the work of the hospital, often depends on the quality of the work of the department of anesthesiology-reanimation. A large role in its provision belongs to nurses. A sociological survey of 120 patients and 50 nurses of two departments of anesthesiology-reanimation was conducted. It was established that 50.0% of the respondents rated the organiza-tion of the department's work as "3" points; 12.5% - to "4" 37.5% - to "5" points. The ratio of nurses’ work was: in 55.0% cases - "4" points, in 37.5% - "5", in 7.5% - "3". 7,5% of respondents had conflicts with nurses. A survey of nurses showed that 40.0% of them came to work in the department to realize their dream. 44.0% of the re-spondents were satisfied with their work. The causes of dissatisfaction were: low wages, high tension and labor in-tensity, poor organization of work, lack of prestige of the profession, the need to communicate with "severe" pa-tients.
