Summary:
Introduction. Dental care is the most demanded and progressive type of medical care. The analysis of attendance rate of specialist doctors allows us to assess the workload of specialists in providing medical care in outpatient settings and make management decisions to improve their activities.
The aim of the study was to investigate the attendance rate of dentists-surgeons in the subjects of the Russian Federation per one occupied position of a specialist.
Materials and Methods. Data from statistical compilations approved by the Ministry of Health of Russia on resource provision in federal districts and subjects of the Russian Federation. The study of the attendance rate of dentists-surgeons was carried out per one occupied position of a specialist. Analytical and statistical methods of research were used in the preparation of the work, the program “MSOffice Excel 2019” was used for data processing.
Results and discussion. It is shown that in the period from 2017 to 2023, the attendance rate of doctors - dental surgeons in the Russian Federation as a whole per one occupied position decreased by 1.9%. In most federal districts, the dynamics of the attendance rate of dentists - dental surgeons is comparable to the trend for the country as a whole. During the period of the Covid-19 pandemic (from 2019 to 2021), the attendance of specialists decreased, which is typical for most federal districts.
Over the entire study period, the highest attendance rate of dentists - dental surgeons per occupied position was established in the Urals Federal District, where its level exceeded the national average. The most pronounced decrease in the indicator occurred in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (by 55.2%) and the Republic of Ingushetia (by 54.5%), the growth - in the Chechen Republic (by 2.7 times), the Vologda Oblast (by 64.5%) and the Komi Republic (by 55.7%).
Conclusion. The results of the study indicate a high attendance rate of specialist doctors in some subjects of the Russian Federation with relatively low values of the indicator in others, which indicates the need to study the rational use of working time of specialist doctors to make managerial decisions on the regulatory support of their activities.
