Summary:
Introduction. The upbringing of future generations is a key aspect of the educational process aimed at personal development, creating conditions for social adaptation and self-realization based on spiritual, moral and socio-cultural values. In this paradigm, educational organizations play a central role. Objective. The purpose of this study is to analyze the lifestyle and morbidity of students of the Medical Institute of the Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov. Materials and methods. In November 2024, a one-stage observational study was conducted based on the results of an anonymous survey of 168 medical students. The study involved students of the NEFU Medical Institute named after M.K. Ammosov, enrolled in 1-3 courses of various departments. The students were informed about the objectives of the study, the anonymity of participation and the right to opt out. The Yandex.Forms electronic platform was used to collect the data, which ensured comfortable and accessible participation for all respondents. After completing the questionnaire collection, the data was processed using statistical analysis using Microsoft Office Excel. The results were presented in the form of diagrams and tables, which made it possible to visualize and simplify the interpretation of the data obtained. Results and discussion. An online sociological survey was conducted as part of the study. The statistical map contained 55 questions, which were classified into three types: "closed" (providing a number of possible answers to choose from), "open" (allowing respondents to formulate their own answers) and "dichotomous" (requiring a yes or no answer). This article provides data characterizing the lifestyle and health status of 1st- to 3rd-year students from different departments of the NEFU Medical Institute named after M.K. Ammosov. Conclusion. The obtained data on the health status of the respondents are of serious concern. The main diseases often found in students are acute respiratory viral infections, gastritis and duodenitis, while there is a high prevalence of hypertension and kidney disease. The presence of a predisposition to diabetes and hypertension among close relatives indicates potential health risks for students. Moreover, a significant proportion of respondents who use tobacco and alcohol focus on possible social and psychological problems faced by young people. These factors require special attention from educational institutions and the health sector in order to develop effective awareness-raising and prevention programs for these diseases.
