Summary:
The bed fund is one of the actual resources of health care, the rational use of which depends on the patient's life preservation and satisfaction with the organization of medical care.
The aim of the study. To study the bed fund and organization of medical care for children with Covid-19 in the conditions of a 24-hour hospital.
Material and methods. We analyzed the bed stock for medical care of children with Covid-19 on the example of the Udmurt Republic in comparison with the indicators in the Volga Federal District and its subjects according to the data of federal statistical observation in the period of 2017 to 2022. Statistical and analytical methods of research were used in the work. The program “MSOffice Excel 2010” was used to calculate the indicators.
Results and its discussion. Provision of children with 24-hour beds for the period from 2017 to 2022 in the Russian Federation decreased by 7.6%, in the Volga Federal District - by 7.8%, in the Udmurt Republic - by 7.4%, including infectious disease beds by 7.5 - 11.8 and 22.1%, respectively. Over the last three years (2020 - 2022), in the Russian Federation as a whole, the supply of pediatric population with round-the-clock beds increased by 9.5%, in the Volga Federal District - by 11.6%, and in the Udmurt Republic - by 11.1%. Availability of pediatric beds in Russia increased by 8.0%, in the Volga Federal District - by 15.0%, in the Udmurt Republic - by 15.0%. The growth in the provision of indicators for the period from 2020 to 2022 is typical for all the subjects of the Volga Federal District. At the same time, the supply of infectious beds for the pediatric population has increased over the last three years, including by 24.6% for the country as a whole and by 20.0% for the Volga Federal District. The increase in the number of infectious beds for children is typical for most of the Volga Federal District, especially for the Saratov Oblast (1.8 times), Kirov Oblast (2.2 times) and the Republic of Tatarstan (1.3 times).
Conclusion. Over the last three years, a positive trend in the dynamics of indicators has emerged: the provision of children with 24-hour beds in Russia increased by 9.5% in total, by 11.6% in the Volga Federal District and by 11.1% in the Udmurt Republic; pediatric beds increased by 8.0%, by 15.0% and by 15.0% respectively. The provision of infectious diseases beds in the country increased by 24.6%, including the Volga Federal District - by 17.2% and the Udmurt Republic - by 20.0%. The increase in the number of children's beds is characteristic of the majority of the Volga Federal District constituent entities. The study of the dynamics of the bed stock and the organization of medical care for children during the Covid-19 pandemic shows the need for continuous monitoring and analysis of the pediatric service, and when planning hospital care, it is necessary to consider both the epidemiological situation and the prevalence of infectious and non-infectious diseases in the region in order to make timely management decisions on the transformation of the bed network.
