The organization of medical care in a medical center with a "partial hospitalization" regime reduces the level of unjustified hospitalization of patients in expensive hospital beds, and also allows patients to receive full-fledged treatment of diseases and prevention of their exacerbations without interrupting work. In the adult population, both of working age and older than working age, day-care treatment is in high demand when receiving primary health care.

Results of the study. Based on the reporting data on the activities of day hospitals of medical organizations in the Ivanovo region, the article analyzes their work over a 5-year period (2019-2023). When analyzing the performance indicators in the Ivanovo region, it was found that the number of hospitals per year was almost at the same level (44 to 47), with the exception of 2022, where their number increased to 70, and the number of beds in them ranged from 2,439 to 2,960. During the entire analyzed period, 27,8040 patients were treated. The largest number of patients by disease class accounted for diseases of the circulatory system, neoplasms, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. Bed occupancy per year ranged from 215.85 to 267.04 days.
Conclusions. During the entire analyzed period, 27,8040 patients were treated. Diseases of the circulatory system accounted for the largest number of patients by disease class, neoplasms occupied the second place, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue were registered in the third place. Despite the significant demand for primary health care by the adult population in a day hospital, bed occupancy per year in the Ivanovo region is significantly lower than the average in Russia, which indicates the need for a more rational approach to the use of this type of medical care.
