The article analyzes and summarizes information on measures to reduce the consumption of unbalanced food products. Sources of information were information contained in electronic resources: materials of the official website of the World Health Organization, information on ongoing projects on the development of a healthy lifestyle in terms of adherence to rational nutrition. The analysis revealed that the introduction of additional taxation and labeling of food does not guarantee an exceptionally positive result. The issues that need to be addressed to ensure the effectiveness of these activities are identified.
