Introduction. Modern society faces the problem of chronic stress, which negatively affects health and quality of life, leading to various mental and physical pathologies, showing a 20-fold increase over the last 65 years [1]. In response to this, one of the current trends in pharmaceutics is the development of combined sedatives, especially phytocompositions, due to their good safety profile and ability to have a complex effect on stress. Objective: to develop a combined phytocomposition of sedative action, intended for use in the prevention and treatment of stress and anxiety states. Materials and methods. The analytical methods used in the study included, qualitative chemical analysis, spectrophotometry, cytotoxicity study, determination of total lethality of Drosophila melanogaster, determination of effect on locomotor activity of Drosophila melanogaster, determination of xenobiotic stress level of Drosophila melanogaster, determination of pharmacological activity of Drosophila melanogaster. Results. The segment of sedative drugs in the pharmaceutical market of Russia has been analysed. A phytocomposition of sedative action including herbs of St John's wort, St John's wort spotted, cornflower, turfgrass and willow-leaved herb has been developed. The technological scheme of manufacturing microcapsules on the basis of alcoholic extract of the mentioned phytocomposition has been developed. The research was carried out according to the methods described in the materials and methods section. The developed technology of microcapsules production was introduced into practice. Conclusion. The composition of phytocomposition of sedative action was proposed. The technological scheme of microcapsule production was developed and tested, toxicological and pharmacological studies of phytocomposition were carried out.
