RISK FACTOR ANALYSIS FOR CHRONIC NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES IN THE ORENBURG REGION

Summary:
One of the priority areas of healthcare policy is the fight against chronic non-communicable diseases, which account for three-quarters of mortality in the Russian Federation. Risk factor analysis is relevant due to the high economic burden, social consequences of chronic non-communicable diseases, and the potential to reduce morbidity and mortality by modifying behavioral and environmental factors.
The objective of the study was to analyze the dynamics of risk factors for chronic non-communicable diseases among the working-age population in the Orenburg Region for the period 2015-2024.
Materials and Methods: Data were extracted from the industry collection of reporting form 131 "Information on the conduct of preventive medical examinations and medical screenings of certain groups of the adult population" and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Regression models were constructed for the analysis of dynamic series.
Results. The average long-term value of the leading factors for working-age men for 2021-2024 is presented as follows: "poor nutrition" is the leading factor at 42.6%, followed by "overweight" at 33%, and "smoking" at 32.3%. The average long-term value of the leading factors for working-age women for 2021-2024 was: The prevalence of risk factors among men and women of different ages is as follows: "poor nutrition" leads the way at 40.9%, followed by "overweight" at 37.3%, and "dyslipidemia" at 19.5%. The lowest prevalence among working-age men was associated with "alcohol consumption" and "hyperglycemia," while among women, the following factors were observed: "alcohol consumption," "high and very high cardiovascular risk," "hyperglycemia," and "bad heredity."
Conclusion. Trending risk factors were identified among men and women of different ages: poor nutrition, overweight, smoking, and low physical activity. The data obtained can be used to develop measures for the implementation of health-preserving technologies. A systemic analysis of risk factors is the basis for the effective prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases, aimed at modifying lifestyle and creating a favorable health environment.
