Summary:
Introduction. In the context of the implementation of national development goals of the Russian Federation, the introduction of a model of a human-centered medical organization and human-centered practices taking into account the needs of all participants in the process of providing medical care, the problem of health of healthcare management personnel is becoming the most important condition for solving professional problems in the field of protecting the health of citizens and increasing the efficiency of medical organizations, as a powerful way to maintain and strengthen the health of the population, the duration of healthy and active life, increasing labor productivity, reducing health care costs for the provision of medical care and today is one of the priority areas in the development of preventive medicine.
The purpose of the study: to analyze the individual physical activity of the heads of medical organizations in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation. -perform an analysis of individual physical activity of heads of medical organizations.
Material and methods. To achieve the set goal, the Department of Healthcare Organization and Public Health with the course on Healthcare Technology Assessment of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation conducted a selective scientific study of the assessment of the heads of medical organizations who studied at the department in advanced training courses in the period from 2022 to 2024 on the level of their own physical activity based on the validated international IPAQ questionnaire. 328 respondents took part in the study. Individual characteristics of the level of physical activity as covariates were identified on the basis of questionnaire data, which made it possible to determine criteria for the presence of signs of physical inactivity in the respondents, as well as by interviewing and studying characteristics that could potentially influence the studied relationships (the presence of non-communicable diseases and risk factors for their development).
Results and discussion. The study revealed similar patterns in all age-related physical activity assessment indicators. The frequency of high physical activity is typical for both healthcare facility managers aged under 40 (43.2%) and 40 to 60 years of age, but with a lower prevalence (26.6%). The proportion of high physical activity is more pronounced among men. A clear trend towards an increase in the incidence of non-communicable diseases was revealed, depending on age and physical activity level (from 5.3% in the group with high physical activity among individuals aged under 40 to 26.9% in the group with low physical activity among individuals aged 40 to 60.)
In groups with moderate and low physical activity, there was an increase in the frequency of risk factors for non-communicable diseases. The addition of behavioral and metabolic health risk factors against the background of low physical activity, constant work stress and psycho-emotional stress actively contributes to the development of non-communicable diseases and requires the heads of medical organizations to improve physiological adaptation to the modern realities of life.
Conclusion. The conducted study allowed to determine that the heads of medical organizations do not pay due attention to individual physical activity, most often due to the need for priority solutions of unplanned problems and lack of time. It is necessary to continue studying the mechanisms for identifying triggers and forming approaches to increasing the level of physical activity of health workers. Monitoring a modifiable risk factor for major non-communicable diseases, such as physical activity, can be one of the mechanisms for changing people's behavior at the population level and cause low-cost positive changes in the health of healthcare managers.
