ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MEDICAL EDUCATION: POSSIBILITIES OF CREATING IMAGES AND PRESENTATIONS

Summary:
Introduction. Using a neural network to generate images and presentations from text makes it easier for teachers to work and makes it more efficient. The aim of the study was to test various AI platforms created by domestic developers that generate images and presentations from text in higher nursing education in comparison with foreign platforms. Materials and methods. For testing, domestic AI platforms were selected - YandexART (a neural network from Yandex), ruDALL-E (a neural network from Sberbank) and presentations - Slider-AI (Slider Presentations LLC) and foreign AI: image generation - 123RF.com (Inmagine Group), presentations - Gamma AI (Gamma Tech, USA). We created prompts and generated images for lectures on the subject of "Nursing in Obstetrics and Gynecology". Results. Presentations often require images of nurses with patients - in the office, in the hospital, as well as standardized images that act as icons. In the free versions of neural networks from ruDALL-E, YandexART there were no settings for the generated image. In the free version of the neural network from ruDALL, there are only settings for the size of the generated image and a small selection of styles. In the neural network 123RF.com, there are image and style settings. The Russian AI Slider-AI.ru allows you to generate only three presentation slides, which makes it difficult to judge the capabilities of this neural network. The Gamma AI neural network created 10 presentation slides for free on the topic and text, which had shortcomings, but were generally of satisfactory quality. Discussions. Domestic neural networks have less developed functionality, but in terms of the quality of the generated images they are not inferior to foreign ones. Foreign AI platforms offer free plans with limited functionality, but for an unlimited period. While domestic developers do not have them. Conclusions. Domestic developers are developing AI capabilities, which will provide new opportunities for users.
