POSSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF USING METHODS OF CLINICAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS

Summary:
Introduction. The increasing need for the use of economic tools to assess the effectiveness of applied medical technologies, the implementation of government projects and programs, etc., has led to the widespread use of methods of clinical and economic analysis. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to clarify the role and place of clinical and economic analysis methods in the tools for evaluating effectiveness in healthcare. Goal. The purpose of the study is to substantiate methodological approaches to the choice of methods of clinical and economic analysis, taking into account the available opportunities and limitations in their application in various situations. Materials and methods. The materials used in the research process were regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, GOST standards, methodological materials, as well as publications on the topic under consideration. The main research methods were bibliographic, analytical, comparative, systematization and classification, and other methods. Results. The main methodological approaches to economic analysis in healthcare and the role of various methods of analysis are highlighted. The analysis of the main methods of clinical and economic analysis has been carried out, their possibilities and limitations (related to organizational and legal forms, sources of financing, etc.), and the possible scope of their application have been identified. Discussions. The classification of the main methods of clinical and economic analysis shows that most of them have a single basis and differ only in the forms of expression of the results, which mainly determines their advantages and disadvantages, as well as the scope of their application. Conclusion. Although clinical and economic analysis is an important tool for evaluating the effectiveness of applied medical technologies, the activities of medical organizations, etc., its application requires careful preparation and critical reflection of the results.
