Summary:
The article presents the results of the use of telemedicine technologies in carrying out medical activities for early detection of prostate cancer. The practical application of these approaches to the population of men aged 45 years and older living in the Voronezh region has provided an almost twofold increase in the number of persons registered for the first time in their lives for prostate cancer, as well as a 6-fold increase in the proportion of persons with the same pathology identified actively. The authors conclude that the method of selective population screening of prostate cancer using telemedicine is more effective than traditional medical examination, provides not only effective selection of persons in need of in-depth clinical examination, but also contributes to the optimization of the interaction between different levels of medical care
